Big Breakfast Club

If you need an earlier start in the morning – why not take advantage of the Big Breakfast Club?  Breakfast club is a popular addition to our extended school services.

The governors of the school meet at least once a term. They are a group of people drawn from the community, the school and the parents. The Headteacher is responsible to the governors for the leadership and management, behaviour and safety, teaching and learning, curriculum and safeguarding aspects of the school.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parent Teacher Association is a charity fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school and some of the staff. It helps provide all those little extras that enhance the children’s lives in school.

All parents automatically become members of the PTA when their child joins the school. The social and fund raising events organised by the energetic and successful ’ Committee continue to provide money for much needed facilities and resources for the children. Most activities are designed to be ‘family events’ but there are some that are aimed specifically at a solely parent audience.

The school is appreciative of all the work undertaken by the PTA and of all the parents who support our school. We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for such fantastic support!

School Clubs

At St George’s we believe extra-curricular activities play a very important role in the life of the pupil and the school. We therefore offer a variety of clubs for our pupils to join and enjoy both at lunchtimes and after school.  In addition, many of our pupils can also learn a musical instrument.

Once the children have joined a club they are expected to attend regularly. If they wish to leave a club, then a written note from a parent/carer must be handed to the office

Some of the clubs only run at certain times of the year. Please see the teacher in charge for more details.
