Do you have a child due to start school in September 2024? Choosing a school for your child can be quite daunting and prospective parents often have lots of questions about the school and the process they need to follow.

In deciding where you would like your child to go to school, it is really important to find out as much as you can about the schools themselves.

We will hold tours of the school for parents of children due to start in Reception September 2025. Dates will be released at the start of the academic year and will be posted on the School website.

We welcome parents to make specific appointments to visit the school at any point during the academic year and we would ask you to arrange this with the office.

St. George's is a one-form entry Primary School, meaning that we admit 30 children per year into each year group; this is called our PAN.

Admission is decided on the following factors:

  1. Looked After Child
  2. Sibling Link
  3. Special Educational Need with an Education Health and Care Plan
  4. Distance

If you are considering St. George's as an option for your child and they have a disability, it is advisable to contact the school so that we can discuss any adaptations that need to be made, before admission.

The local authority (LA) deals with all admissions for children starting school for the first time and the link below will direct you to the Kent County Council website where you will find all the information that you require. If you have a child in any other year group, and would like to enquire about places, then please do so directly through the school office.

The school follows the LA’s admissions policy, a copy of which is available from the link below. KCC oversubscription criteria is outlined below the following images and further admissions' documents can be accessed at the bottom of this page.

All information can be found on the Kent County Council Website

You will also find videos from current parents talking about St George's as we believe this is the best testimonial to our school. We hope you choose St George's as the school for your child and look forward to meeting you in September.
